Chocolate and spice cake recipe
- 150 g butter
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 gr flour
- 1 C. ground ginger
- 1 C. cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 1 orange
- 200 g dark chocolate
Mix melted butter, sugar and flour. Add spices, eggs and yeast, stirring quickly. Add the orange peel.
Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave and toss in the previous preparation. Mix well with a spatula to get a smooth and homogeneous paste.
Pour the dough into a mold coated with butter and flour or lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 ° C for 20 minutes. It will not be fully cooked, but as it cools it will retain all of its foundation!
If the dough looks too thick, add orange juice!
