Ginger chicken is one of Vietnam’s traditional recipes. A pleasure with contrasting flavors, a touch of honey that balances the fresh acidity of ginger. The latter, a rhizome of the Indian saffron family, is harvested mainly in India and China. It is a key ingredient in Asian cuisines. Also found in “ginger ale”, this soda very popular with the Anglo-Saxons for its taste and digestive properties. Note that for several years, you can find ginger produced in France.

Ingredients for 4 people
- 400 gr chicken fillet
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons. in s. olive oil
- 2 handfuls of roasted and salted peanuts
- Fresh coriander
- Salt and pepper
For the sauce:
- 4 tablespoons. in s. soy sauce
- 1 lime
- 10 cl Noilly Prat
- 1 C. c. beef juice
- 1 C. in s. honey
Recipe steps
1. Preparations
Peel a squash, grate it and chop it finely.
Cut the chicken fillets into cubes.
Cut the peanuts with a knife.
Collect soy sauce with honey, Noilly Prat and beef juice.
2. Cooking
Heat a frying pan with oil and then fry the chicken pieces for 5 minutes, add the minced garlic and ginger then add the sauce, salt and light pepper. Cover and cook for about 25 to 30 minutes over low heat.
3. Ends
Add the lemon juice to the pan, mix and serve with the peanuts, minced coriander and well-cooked rice.
